Privacy Policy

Jamlog is a recording app for musicians: capture your musical ideas — voice memos, riffs, demos — and, when you choose, make them available to fans who subscribe. This policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

1. Information We Collect

When you use Jamlog, we collect:

  • Account information: Your email address (via Sign in with Apple, Google Sign-In, or a magic email link), username, and profile settings such as display name, bio, and genres.
  • Content you create: Audio recordings, the titles, captions, and chapter marks you add, and related metadata (timestamps, duration, and approximate location if you choose to enable it for a recording).
  • Usage data: Basic app interactions and crash reports to keep the app working and fix bugs.
  • Device information: Device type, operating system version, and push notification tokens used to deliver notifications you opt into.
  • Comments: Comments you or invited collaborators leave on a recording.
  • Subscription & payment status: Whether you are an active creator or subscriber. Payments are processed by Apple (in-app) and Stripe (web); we do not store your card details.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • Provide and operate Jamlog — recording, backing up, and syncing your work across your devices.
  • Host your public creator page at username.jamlog.com and display only the recordings you choose to make public or available to subscribers.
  • Process creator subscription payments and route payouts to creators.
  • Send push notifications and emails you've opted into (including sign-in / magic links).
  • Improve the app and fix bugs.

3. Visibility & Your Control

Every recording is private by default. You decide, per recording, whether it stays private, is available to your subscribers, or is public. Recordings you keep private are never served publicly — only you can access them. Changing a recording back to private takes effect immediately and removes it from public access.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your recordings live on your device and back up to encrypted cloud storage (Cloudflare R2) with metadata in our database, which is the source of truth that keeps your work in sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Authentication tokens are stored securely in the iOS Keychain, and all data is transmitted over HTTPS. Public and subscriber media is served from our CDN; private recordings are gated so they are never delivered to anyone but you.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Apple: Sign in with Apple and StoreKit in-app subscriptions.
  • Google: Google Sign-In.
  • Cloudflare: Media storage (R2) and CDN delivery.
  • Stripe: Creator subscription payments and payouts.
  • Brevo: Transactional email (magic sign-in links and notifications).

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. Your content is shared only as you direct it — for example, recordings you publish to your public page or make available to subscribers. We may use anonymized, aggregated usage statistics internally to improve the app.

7. Your Rights & Data Deletion

You can:

  • Delete individual recordings from the app at any time.
  • Make your profile private or take your public page offline.
  • Delete your entire account directly in the app (Settings → Advanced → Delete Account), which removes your account and your recordings from our servers.
  • Or request account deletion by emailing locomojo@gmail.com. See our Data Deletion page for details.

8. Children's Privacy

Jamlog is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Significant changes will be communicated through the app or via email.
